Back in 2002 we were starting a project to rebuild our custom-made Classic ASP content management system which we had created and used in several projects. A colleague mentioned that we should check out this new version of a thing called DotNetNuke CMS. We dug in, made tests and reviewed the setup, especially with the core elements for Roles and permissions, file management, page management and design and knew that it was 100% what we strove to accomplish. We rolled it out 2 months later for our first DNN project and have never since found another system which rivals DNN for our development projects!

DNN is our preferred Application Development Platform. There is no question or need which a client brings us in a project which we cannot build within DNN. DNN is the perfect system for us to build upon for custom solutions in client projects.

Having worked within different communities of CMS systems, from Mambo/Joomla, PHProjekt, SiteCore, Umbraco, and of course, including WordPress, I had never encountered before such a welcoming, helpful community of developers and community members using a platform together and helping each other with training, support and camaraderie.
